“Airhead” by Meg Cabot
May 2008, Now in stores
Emerson Watts wasnt one of those pretty popular girls like Whitney Robertson or super Gorgeous model Nikki Howards. Nor was she excited about going to the opening of Soho Stark Megastore like her little sister Frida was. Tomboy Emerson didnt know that going to the opening would change her life, in a way that she could never have imagined. Lets just say waking up as a super model wasnt what she thought would happen. Any other normal girly girl would kill for this kind opportunity. But Emerson Watts isnt a girly girl, and her situation isnt what we call common or normal.
Now Em has to learn how to be a different person, and thats Nikki Howard. Thats the least of her worries. Emerson also has to juggle modeling and school. Though she’s only going to school to spy on a certain former guy best friend, whom she has had a major crush on since foreverr. She soons learns that it isnt going to be easy being Nikki Howard, things are getting really complicated really fast.
Personal Review: This book was suggested to me by a Librarian. At first I was very hesitant about reading it because I hadnt originally picked it out myself, but I knew the author. “Avalon High” by Meg Cabot was really a good read and I’m looking foward to “Avalon High 2: Coronation.” Yeah so anyways, when I read the first page I can honestly say (& I hope its not corny to say but w/e) I was hoookked. I devoured it in one sitting. It really was a joy to read, my favorite character is of course Emerson and Christopher. Though I am also a fan of lulu. I hope to learn more about Christopher in the sequel. Emerson’s name is a boy’s name or thats what it says in the book, but I myself dont care if its a boy name because I like how it can be cut short to be a girls name “Em”. I think thats what made me like Em in the begining when I first started the book. Enough about the name, hahaa, kayy so another thing I liked about the book is that the plot is not like other books I’ve read. Its plot was somewhat a first to me to read about, but I’ve had watched movies that have the whole mind switch in bodies. Like the movie that was suggested in the book, “Freaky Friday”. I also liked the unrequited love thing going on between Emerson and Christopher in the begining, then how its later discovered by christopher but then its too late to do anything, or thats what he thinks. Mhmm, so yeahh overall this book was excellent, superb, terrific and i’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading.

i loved airhead it was meg’s best so far. it was sad though when she could not tell christopher the truth but i mean who would two million dollars is a lot but. the third book is going to be about well it was all in her imagination. and when she wakes up christoper is over saying em em are u ok em answer me. and yeah she’s was ok after the tv fell on her and she relized nikki wasn’t even hurt. yeah so i’m sorry if i spolied it for you but i had to get that out!!!
hahaa, iknow what you mean
stab21, Are you assuming that that will happen in the third book, or do you somehow now for sure? I don’t think that will happen. I’ve always been told by my English teachers that that is the worst way to end a story/book. By just saying “It was all just a dream.” Because it really kills the story and the enjoyment while reading it. Sorry if I sound bossy, but I’m just saying….
